Old boyfriend, new drama?

Last May i started daiting a guy who really liked me, and cared about me. We ended up breaking up later because another guy asked me out, who I thought i liked more. I didnt talk to him all last summer until the first football game at the highschool. He called me over at the end of the game and told me that "he was sorry for whatever he did, but i really broke his heart." I felt terrible. So over this last school year we became really good friends and began to like each other all over agian, but decided we would wait until we were at the same school to date. Since then we have gotten in tons of fights, over the stupidest things! Whenever he likes me i dont like him, and the other way around. It's almost constant fighting. And he always apologizes and then does the same thing again and again. I really really like him, and cant get over him. I dont know what to do, so anything anyone could say would help alot.
