My horse's hooves are very weak, will horseshoeing make them stronger?

I'm wondering if shoeing my horse will make them better as they are brindle & crack easy? He will be taken on the rode maybe 3 times a year and not long at all. Stalled for about 3 hours, worked with some, then in pasture for the rest. thx!
